Derek Wall

Founder & CEO at HUBX

Derek Wall is the Founder and CEO of HUBX, a disruptive marketplace platform transforming the secondary distribution industry. Despite facing challenges like dyslexia and leaving high school early, Derek's entrepreneurial journey began at 19 with Ezekiel Clothing, which has evolved into a renowned surf and skate brand worldwide. With a knack for business, Derek co-founded a snowboard distribution company at 23, later acquired by a public entity. His ventures like TechStore and eMarketplace garnered significant success, with the latter having a combined value of $189M. Derek's strategic acumen shone through with the founding of BuyNow, later acquired by Rakuten for $250 million, and as the CEO of VAULT, an online fashion marketplace under Rakuten. Inspired by disruptive innovation, Derek furthered his knowledge at Harvard Business School and birthed the concept of HUBX in his final thesis. HUBX has seen remarkable growth, generating over $200M in its debut year and engaging customers across 101 countries. Beyond his ventures, Derek is dedicated to mentoring start-ups and providing counsel to emerging businesses.
