Thank you Spotify.  After over 7 years in 25-year-old Dom’s dream job, I’m minimally evolving my professional email address to run marketing at Spotter. Much more on that soon - just know that New York, the creator economy and now also more frequently LA will continue to see a lot of me. Can. Not. Wait!!

You can stop reading here. I’m not one for sappy LinkedIn posts and I’m writing this more for myself than for you all who hear from me every few months at most. (Not tagging anyone. This one is all heart, no reach.)

In 2017, I joined as an ex musician who had the rare opportunity to work on evolving the music industry and objectively change it for the better - all while building a new business line for Spotify from the ground up. Over 7 years later, I’m not only looking back at the proudest chapter of my professional path. I’m also reflecting on the company, people, environment and challenge that have shaped me the most. I’ve learned from a true visionary, world-class operators, leaders, creators and made many friends along the way.

Massive thanks to the folks who took a chance on an (at best) somewhat experienced leader from YouTube and trusted me back in 2017: Big boss Charlie (always thankful for the intro, Bing), Troy, Mayur, Seth.  So much admiration for the Spotifiers I’ve gotten to be in the trenches with over the years - many of whom have become text-over-Slack friends: Veda, Marcus, Joy, Brian, Kieran, Nora, Ben, Camille, Beck, Anna, Zach, Chris and anyone who’ll no doubt let me hear about how I rudely failed to list them. Sorry, love y’all!  Lastly: All love to the Music Mission and my team who dealt with anything from my various obsessions to dreadfully average jokes on Monday mornings. Some of those whose careers I feel privileged to have had a small part in for a meaningful period of time: Sam, Brendan, Josephine, Charleton and the rest of the Happy Monday crew - you know who you are. Go get it!

Tack.

Legit the hottest job on our job board right now! Love being in the shoes of artists and their teams? Inspired by the wild innovation in the wider creator economy? Obsessed with music?

I couldn't think of a job with a more intriguing scope (grow the music industry's go-to platform and spin up entirely new business lines on top of it). You'll have the fun of getting to develop an already STACKED team and will have the chance to be in the driver seat as we work towards a creator-centric future with Spotify for Artists. If you've made it through all these buzzwords, just one ask: if you know that truly outstanding product marketing leader, please send them our way! If that person is you, well then welcome to Spotify!
