Carol Chan

Dr. Carol Chan is a dedicated and passionate doctor with a strong focus on medical education, healthcare innovation, and global health.

Her research experiences cover a wide range of topics including globalisation and medical education, medical school accreditation processes, and the effectiveness of using Near-Peer Tutors in Medical Education.

She has conducted research on various medical education themes such as the impact of the Hidden Curriculum on students' perceptions of general practice careers and age-friendly interventions in London.

Dr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree from UCL and an Integrated Bachelor of Science (iBSc) with First Class Honours in Global Health from the same institution.

Her educational achievements also include excelling in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) at top global levels.

Dr. Chan has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving as a Fellow at The Institute of Leadership & Management and as a Clinical Supervisor at the University of Cambridge.

She has also been a part of NHS England as an Academic Foundation Training Doctor and contributed as a Medical Advisor and NHS Donations Coordinator at Dare to Care Packages.

Additionally, Dr. Chan has been a Scholar at The Healthcare Leadership Academy, held a Winter Internship at Public Health England, and co-founded The Hong Kong Medical Society of the United Kingdom (HKMSUK).

In her leisure time, Dr. Chan enjoys swimming, diving, and skiing, and she is also a licensed AUSTSWIM swim coach.
