Joe Trahan

Dr. Joe Trahan, APR, Fellow PRSA, is a highly experienced professional in the field of Public Relations and Communications with a diverse background in Media Relations, Crisis & Risk Communications training, and various other specialized trainings.

His extensive educational background includes a PhD. in Public Relations from The University of Southern Mississippi, an MA in Public Relations from Ball State University, and a BA in American Military History from Tulane University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Trahan has been involved with prestigious organizations such as FEMA, where he served as an EMI Executive Academy Instructor, and the U.S. Coast Guard as a contractor.

He has held multiple roles at Trahan & Associates, including CEO/President, International Media Trainer, Media Relations Trainer, and Conflict Resolution Communications Trainer.

Dr. Trahan has also been actively engaged with PRSA, serving as the Immediate Past Chair of the PRSA Public Affairs and Government section, as well as Chair of the EA, and has contributed as a PRSSA Faculty Advisor at Georgia State University.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Dr. Trahan has contributed to academia through his various roles as an instructor, trainer, and expert in Media Relations and Mass Communications at institutions like the Defense Information School.

With a wealth of experience and expertise in Public Relations, Media Relations, Crisis Communications, and Interpersonal Training, Dr. Joe Trahan brings a unique skill set and knowledge base to the field.
