Eduardo Machado is a Software Development specialist working at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with extensive experience in technical leadership and a passion for learning and applying new technologies.

Beginning his career in corporate IT solutions with a focus on Web platforms and Open Source technologies, Eduardo went on to join the CTBTO Commission in Vienna as an Information System Specialist, handling mission critical systems and developing new IT solutions for the organization's needs.

In 2011, Eduardo transitioned to FAO where he led a technical team at the Offshore IT Offices in Bangkok, overseeing the support and development of over 100 IT systems in Operational and Administrative areas.

Relocating to FAO Headquarters in Rome in 2013, Eduardo took on new challenges including leading the organization's Global Service Desk implementation, the SDLC implementation project, and promoting a cloud-first approach to software development.

Eduardo Machado studied Electronics Engineering at Universidad Yacambú and currently holds the position of Information Technology Officer at FAO.
