Highlights
Just look at the energy and appreciation our audience had last night for our fundraiser Celebration of Music Network Ireland Thank you so much to our audience and corporate supporters.
As a proud Board member, we are giving one final push to the Fundraising effort with our “Digital Raffle”. Make a small donation and be entered into a competition for a night for two people in the fabulous Merrion Hotel!
Why do so?
Well Music Network is all about promoting and developing live music across Trad, Classical and Jazz and bringing it all around Ireland.
For me, I really love our community programmes.
· From our Alone Scheme where at concerts, we reserve seats for service users and their Volunteer companions giving both a night out instead of being home alone.
· To the community project we did with the members of the Bluebell Community Women’s Group who through singing, reconnected with each other on a totally new level.
· And perhaps my favourite - the shared learning opportunity for County Wicklow residents aged 55 and over, where we invited locals who previously played an instrument to come to a beautiful rehearsal space, provided them with an instrument and brilliant teachers.
As the world gets more complex and our lives busier, I think we turn more and more to the Arts for a pit of peace and solace.
Your support makes more of this possible and would be so much appreciated. And I hope you win a night in the fabulous Merrion!
Good luck!

It is a few weeks since I sat down with Dr. Shirley Kavanagh to share some thoughts primarily around how business and the Arts can work together for mutual gain. Some of the smartest and most innovative leaders I have had the chance to engage with, work across the Arts. We have so much to learn from them.
I then indulge in the story of how Women on Walls began and discuss some of the practical initiatives industry is collaborating on to enhance the visibility of role models in STEM - many pioneered by my dear colleague Paula Neary and of course several others. We end with some discussions on Gen AI where I share that I believe it has the potential to level the playing field, assuming of course, adequate guardrails are in place. Give the Podcast a follow.
