Elvin Garayev is a senior at Purdue University studying Mechanical Engineering and graduating in May 2021. He has a strong background in leading and participating in engineering projects across various industries such as automotive, aerospace, and consumer products. Elvin's interests revolve around designing structures and systems within the automotive and aerospace sectors, and he is determined to pursue these goals post-graduation.

Throughout his academic journey, Elvin has been actively engaged in undergraduate research focused on Finite Element Analysis of Energetic materials, led the AIAA-PSP Hybrid rocket team as the Chief Project Engineer, and served as the USA Chapter Expansion Manager for SEDS-USA. He has also been involved in commercializing a product developed by his Sophomore Design group, holding provisional and non-provisional patents for it.

Elvin has gained practical experience through internships at well-known companies like Allison Transmission and Advanced Threaded Fasteners. His internship roles ranged from Product Engineering to Embedded Controls IR&D, showcasing his versatile skill set and adaptability. Despite a setback in his internship plans due to the pandemic, Elvin managed to secure an alternative opportunity and continued to enhance his engineering capabilities.

On top of his academic and work commitments, Elvin has been actively involved in various organizations such as SEDS, Purdue Space Program, and ATF Inc., where he has held positions like Chief Project Engineer, Vice President of Aerodynamics and Structures, and Applications Engineering Intern. This diverse involvement has not only shaped his technical expertise but also honed his leadership and teamwork skills.
