Its been years since I’ve posted on Linkedin but this update feels befitting: After about three years at Block, I decided that it was time for me to move on. I recognize how privileged I am to have had this choice, knowing what a difficult time it is in the job-seeking market right now.
My next play, admittedly, feels a little like deja vu (in the best way): I’m boomeranging to LinkedIn! Ask any former manager of mine, I’ve never stopped fangirling LinkedIn and how they (we!) get work done. I’m super excited to be rejoining a company with a mission, product, and culture that so deeply resonates with my personal values. As a bonus, I'm genuinely excited about the work ahead and to continue flexing my program management skills in new areas of the business!
If, by any chance, you’re reading this and thinking, “man I wish I would have had the chance to hire Emily!” well, you’re in luck– my right-hand while at Block, Camille Aké, is on the market and is wildly smart and very talented. Prepare to have your ideas improved, your communication sharpened, your execution streamlined, and also very likely to be your new work bestie.
