Emily Matuszczak is a professional with a strong background in group and individual counseling, focusing on domestic violence and sexual assault.

An upcoming goal for Emily is to develop a pet shelter onsite at HAVEN to support victims of violence who may be reluctant to leave their pets behind, understanding the strong link between animal and human abuse.

Her specialties include domestic and sexual violence, program management, program development and evaluation, supervision (both clinical and professional), group and individual therapy, trauma-informed practices, self-care, victims advocacy, and strategic plan development.

Emily Matuszczak pursued an Associate's degree in Business at Schoolcraft College and holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University.

Currently, she serves as the Senior Director of Programs at HAVEN, bringing her expertise in promoting holistic wellbeing and support for survivors.
