Emily Rancourt is the Associate Director and Professor at George Mason University Forensic Science Program.

She teaches graduate level courses, provides academic advising, and collaborates on creating the George Mason University Institute of Forensic and Behavioral Sciences.

Professor Rancourt holds a Master of Forensic Science degree from The George Washington University.

Before joining academia, she served as a Crime Scene Specialist at Prince William County Police, Virginia, where she investigated various types of cases including homicides, suicides, and cold case homicides.

Her expertise includes documenting blood stain patterns, bullet trajectory, fingerprint processing, alternate light source utilization, footwear impression casting, and more.

Professor Rancourt is a qualified expert in crime scene investigation and has testified in Federal and local court trials.

She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Purdue University.
