There’s a “10yr challenge*” going around on the socials and I’ll share mine…

Exactly 10 years ago today**, I started working at Starbucks. It was exciting, a little scary, there was so much to learn and I was there for it!   Today, I started working at Nordstrom! It’s exciting, a little scary, there is so much to learn, and I am here for it!

I’ve wanted to work the in fashion/ beauty/ retail industry for almost my entire adult life, but I didn’t know where I might fit—both functionally and culturally. When I saw a strategy opening in Nordstrom’s merchandising org, and began the conversations with the team, I knew that the right opportunity found me.

It took a lot for me to leave Starbucks (really, all the amazing partners I had the opportunity to create with along the way), but I'll always be grateful for the experiences that have set me up for the next things.

*Yeah, I’m good-- I’m not going to help Meta refine their facial recognition aging algorithm. **For a person who thinks in fiscal weeks at least… the Tuesday after MLK Jr. Day.
