Since October 2023, Verbatim Virtual Solutions has been a key implementation partner of the Peer Learning component of NG-CARES, a World Bank-supported initiative aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change and COVID-19 in Nigeria.

NG-CARES is the Nigeria Community Action Resilience and Economic Stimulus Program, aimed at providing nationwide economic stimulus to individuals and firms impacted by climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic through a $750 million World Bank loan.

Working closely with the Nigeria Governors Forum Secretariat, we have achieved significant progress over the last 10 months, focusing on knowledge exchange across all 36 Nigerian States and the Federal Capital. We’ve reached key milestones, including leading workshops and strategic sessions that have strengthened the program's knowledge-sharing efforts.

Our work has involved developing learning cases based on a detailed analysis of performance data for the 11 Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs) of NG-CARES. These cases serve as vital tools for understanding the successes and challenges faced across various States, informing better decision-making and fostering continuous improvement.

Our contributions include developing a robust Peer Learning and Experience Sharing Approach, conceptualizing comprehensive panel sessions based on analysis of the performance of States, and crafting Presentations to foster knowledge sharing and learning. These efforts have laid the groundwork for the upcoming Zonal and National Learning events scheduled for Q4 2024, which we look forward to hosting.

We will continue to deepen NG-CARES knowledge management practices, fostering reflection, collaboration and innovation; ensuring that lessons are learned, effectively shared and applied for sustainability and improved execution.
