Wow, what a year!

Today marks 1 year since I began here at Grand Valley State University and I could not be happier about it. Uprooting my daughter and I was not a decision I took lightly after 30 years in the same town and 22 years in the only home she'd ever known; but it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made professionally and personally.

I'm grateful to my colleagues who have not only welcomed me with open arms, but have gone the extra mile to make us feel part of the GVSU community. I'm proud of all that we have accomplished over the past year and I look forward to delivering more impactful solutions for our students, faculty, and staff as we #ReachHigher2025.

To my friends who are contemplating making a change - DO IT. Bet on yourself, get uncomfortable and find your why again.

#workmilestone
