Eric Burton

Author, Public Speaker and Different-ability Advocate

Eric Burton, known as E.L. Burton, is a resilient and accomplished author and freelance writer. Overcoming the challenges of a rare degenerative eye disease that caused him to lose his eyesight, he transitioned from a corporate career to pursue writing full-time, with a focus on political and creative writing.

His extensive writing portfolio includes ghostwriting multiple books, authoring two novels - one of which was recognized as a semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel of the Year Award, contributing as a columnist to the Mesa, Arizona Tribune, and creating digital content for various E-Zines.

Eric Burton leverages his background in political communications and consulting, along with his exceptional writing skills, to champion issues related to social responsibility. He is a passionate advocate for Accessibility and Inclusion, advocating for the use of assistive technologies like Aira.

Inspired by the memory of his late Mother and Brother, Jacque and Andrew Burton, he has founded The Jab Fund, a charity that offers scholarships to visually impaired college students and equips them with Aira technology to enhance their educational journey and bridge the gap between them and their sighted peers.
