Eric Mibuari is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Harvard University, currently in his fifth year of study. He is advised by Professor David Parkes and is part of the EconCS research group, which focuses on the intersection of economics and computer science. Earlier this month, I presented our work "Learning to lend in dynamic resource-constrained environments" at the PML4DC workshop at the #iclr2023 Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. On top of being the first time for Africa to host a top-tier AI conference, it was also a great opportunity to connect with the African AI community and to explore the region.
