Eric Stinaff

Associate Professor at Ohio University

Eric Stinaff is an Experienced Associate Professor with a strong background in higher education and basic and applied research.

His expertise lies in multiple experimental techniques for studying optical and electronic properties of semiconductor nanomaterials, nanostructures, and nanostructure-based devices.

He conducts research focusing on spectroscopic and electronic studies to advance applications in areas like renewable energy, quantum information processing, single-photon sources, detectors, and lasers.

Eric Stinaff holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Iowa State University.

His education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from St. Olaf College and a high school degree from Buffalo Grove High School.

He is currently the Director at Nanoscale & Quantum Phenomena Institute and has previously served as an Associate Professor at Ohio University and as a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associate at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.
