Erwin Gianchandani

Erwin Gianchandani holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia. His educational background reflects a strong foundation in both engineering and computer science.

In terms of professional experience, Erwin has held numerous significant roles at the National Science Foundation (NSF), including Assistant Director for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships, Senior Advisor for Translation, Innovation and Partnerships, Deputy Assistant Director for Computer and Information Science and Engineering, and Deputy Director of the Division of Computer and Network Systems. He has also served as the Director of the Computing Community Consortium & Computing Innovation Fellows Project at the Computing Research Association.

Erwin Gianchandani's career has seen him contribute to various areas of research and policy within the sciences. He has been an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the NSF, Director of Innovation Networking at the University of Virginia, and held positions at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, Inc. He has also been involved in academia as a Post-doctoral Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Virginia.
