Last week was a whirlwind. I attended my first Collision Conference in Toronto and wanted to take a minute to consolidate some my top learnings:

📅 Conferences are a great way to make new IRL connections. But trying to book 1:1 meetings during a very large conference can be challenging. Make the meetings as accessible as possible and be very precise about the exact meeting location and time. Also ensure that you communicate and confirm all meetings before you start your day.
🇨🇦 Although the Canadian TAM may not reflect the same numbers as America, there is still an incredible opportunity to serve a very important market. Borders are becoming more and more blurred in today’s business environment and key partnerships can unlock a lot more opportunity than you may think.
All in all, it was a packed and highly eventful 24 hours at #CollisionConf and I’m already looking forward to my next trip to visit our neighbors to the north.

Reflecting on #NYTechWeek, I’m energized by the incredible conversations and insights gained.
A highlight was my discussion with Kate Welsh, Deel on embedding a security mindset within organizations.
Key takeaway: it’s all about people, processes, and technology.
Leadership must champion this mindset from the top, fostering a culture where shared values are essential. Hiring the right talent with a shared believe system is also crucial to ensure this mindset permeates throughout the company.
And of course, providing the necessary technology and processes that make it accessible to everyone.
