Dr. Fabien Pouille is a seasoned professional with 26 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, specializing in agronomy and geography. Holding a Diploma in Tropical Agricultural Engineering and a PhD in Tropical Geography, he has dedicated his career to assisting vulnerable populations. Dr. Pouille believes in a victim-centered approach to humanitarian aid, emphasizing the importance of deep needs analysis and ethical communication. He began his journey as a researcher with the French National Centre for Scientific Research before transitioning to roles at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as an Agronomist, Economic Security Delegate, and Senior Agronomist. His work with the ICRC has taken him to conflict zones in countries like Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Uganda, where he has helped communities rebuild their livelihoods through agriculture. Currently, based in France, Dr. Pouille is involved in bio-short circuit poultry production and continues to engage in short-term humanitarian missions.
