Highlights
Since 2021, the role of robotics in #climate technology has been a strong belief of mine. That's why I was thrilled when Patrick Meier, PhD shared his plans to establish the Climate Robotics Network. As we are actively vets companies in this space at Cybernetix Ventures, we are eager to make multiple investments in this important area. #robotics #climatetech EPFL ETH Zürich SOSV Worcester Polytechnic Institute
It was great to visit Capital Factory during #sxsw2024 and check some of the #robotics innovations that are incubated there. Including meeting Jeffrey Cardenas and geek about the exciting stuff happening in #humanoidrobots; the real, the hype and the scale.
Then I sat on a session where Jeff spoke with Shaun Azimi of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration - on why do we need humanoids to explore and inhabit #space
Finally, I enjoyed a session on the intersection between #agriculture and #ai and #robotics
Reflection on the trip: 1-sometimes we decide to go about in life (and events) in a motorboat, but there is #magic and #serendipity in taking a sailboat. 2- We all speak about the world #food security problem but we should speak more about #nutrition security (thanks Aamar Khwaja for the inspiring conversation and I am sure you would enjoy meeting Katie Stebbins)
