Felicia M. Martin (she/her/ella) is currently the President and Executive Director of the Texas Freedom Network (TFN), a position she assumed in January 2025.12 Prior to this role, she served as the Regional Director of Academic Programs for Texas at The Jed Foundation (JED).13

At JED, Martin led initiatives to improve mental health support for students across Texas, with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ youth and BIPOC students.14 Her work at JED involved developing and implementing programs to enhance student well-being and mental health support in educational settings.

Martin is a queer, third-generation Tejana with over two decades of experience championing equity and access for traditionally underrepresented communities.14 She holds a Master's Degree in Organization Development from St. Edward's University and is an alumna of Rice University.1

Before her work at JED, Martin held leadership roles at EMERGE Fellowship, where she developed programs to empower high-performing students from underserved communities to attend and graduate from selective colleges.1 Her work at EMERGE earned national recognition, including the 2022 National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Inclusion, Access, and Student Success award.1

Throughout her career, Martin has demonstrated success in securing philanthropic funds, leading strategic initiatives, and fostering inclusive organizational cultures.1 She has trained over 1,000 educators and youth leaders and has been instrumental in building partnerships to advance civil rights and equity initiatives.14
