Many people ask me about what we're up to at Kasvu Labs, since we've largely operated under the radar for a couple or years.

depending on who asks, I might tell them about how were building a platform for running AI predictions on sales data based on natural language. or I might tell them about how were building the "google drive" for scientific collaboration around large biological data sets; or eliminating CVs in recruitment. Well, today I'm proud to announce that our NLP- based tool for mental health (through prompted journalling) is about to launch a pilot in the US, the UK and Northern Europe. and no joke, it will transform the way people take a proactive approach to their mental health through journalling and access to best-in-class expert support. Get onto our insta, since followers will get a front seat to the next cohort of our beta. link at the bottom.

the beauty of it all is, were accomplishing these and even more things with a team of 14 absolute guns. and we are doing it without a single cent of VC money.

bootstrapping FTW.

TL:DR - We chanced upon an amazing new technique at work for unlocking creativity and fostering leadership and storytelling. More details at the end of the post.

I love an emotionally and intellectually safe work environment. Routinely, during conversations among colleagues I'll deliberately drop the odd mention of my seeing a mental health specialist - or undergoing the process of getting an #adhd diagnosis, etc.

'What's the point?' you may ask.

The point is that I'm a strong advocate for normalising a healthy discussion about mental health at work. In case it is not obvious, mental health is not just crucial for survival and human connection. It is also critical to exceptional performance at work (I'm talking quality of output, not quantity). 'Mental health' is the breeding ground for resilience, perseverance, ability to empathise with others, mutual respect, etc. But in this case, I want to focus on how mental health is key to creativity. The kind of creativity that leads to great new products; to connecting dots nobody else could. That kind of creativity. It can be honed and enhanced, like a muscle. Neglect it at your own peril.

And right in-between a great idea being borne; and it becoming global phenomenon, lies great storytelling. The process is unique to individuals and organisations - yet critical in society and business nonetheless.

Well, a couple of weeks ago - the very talented and creative Wesa Aapro was posting about his, and educator Elina Pukari's new concoction of human creativity and Artificial intelligence: "The synergy of joy". His narrative included questions I, too believe all of humanity should be asking at this junction, such as: "Can A.I actually imagine?", or "how do ideas come to us, then become norm?". I was hooked.

Fast-forward a couple of lunches, some very vulnerable discussions about our mental health; a test with some very open-minded colleagues - and a dose of hardcore creativity, and BOOM:

"The synergy of joy" has now been refined into a 2-hour engaging, thought-provoking and formative group activity that will push your team's creativity, leadership and storytelling abilities to its limit in a way that feels natural and fun. It might leave you with some crucial questions about your business, too - but that's a bonus. We draw from elements of:

  • Generative (A.I) art
  • Human problem-solving, storytelling and improv
  • Leadership and management theory

To set the scene for some of the most forward-thinking conversations we didn't even know we could have (and we work with cutting-edge tech!)

If you're curious, we're hosting a few limited sessions in Sweden and Finland (October only). Shoot me a message and let's discuss some more! #tech #leadership #team #management #creativity #storytelling #mental #mentalhealth
