Genel Ambrose

Cultural Strategist, Impact Architect, Founder

Genel Ambrose is an entrepreneurial-minded cultural strategist with a strong focus on social impact, community building, and empowering Black women and girls. She has a background in creating live experiences, public programs, and initiatives that foster meaningful engagement. Genel is the founder of Good Mirrors Index, aiming to showcase Black femme consciousness. Currently, she serves as the Head of Cultural Programming at Apple, where she manages programming strategy and execution in various locations.

With over seven years of experience in Human Resources at industry giants like HBO, Clear Channel Radio, and VICE Media, Genel has spearheaded multi-million dollar initiatives connecting brands to millennial and Gen Z audiences. She is known for her expertise in social impact strategy, cultural strategy, storytelling, strategic partnerships, community engagement, and event management.

Genel holds a Dual Bachelor's degree in Journalism & Sociology from New York University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The New School. She is an alum of the Jackie Robinson Foundation and a member of New Inc, the New Museum's incubator for professionals in art, tech, and design.
