The energy in San Francisco has returned on downtown weekdays! I’ve never felt so relieved to be on a full train platform. Remote work optional but I enjoy an office I can easily walk to. Seems like most restaurants and bars have reopened in some form and have later hours.

Also: the office isn’t empty I just arrived early!

A lot of people in high growth technology firms are affected by layoffs this season. From what I am seeing in this late round of downsizing, it has nothing to do with their execution, ability, or peer feedback. Many people shipped amazing things as recently as yesterday before getting canned today! If you're affected, reach out to me and I'll see if I can help or refer.

At Salesforce a common refrain was: the only constant is change. It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, only that you get back up and re-engage on a new set of problems. I've had my share in life of big misses.
