Guillermo Franco is a seasoned professional with a strong background in Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.

He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University, in addition to a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Guillermo has extensive experience in the risk research domain, having held key positions at reputable organizations like Guy Carpenter and AIR Worldwide.

He currently serves as the Managing Director & Global Head of Cat Risk Research at Guy Carpenter.

Prior to his current role, Guillermo held various high-ranking positions at Guy Carpenter, including Managing Director, Senior Vice President, and Global Head of Cat Risk Research.

Before joining Guy Carpenter, he worked at AIR Worldwide as the Manager & Principal Engineer of Decision Analytics, Principal Engineer, and Senior Research Engineer.

Guillermo Franco has also contributed to academic research as a Research Fellow at The Earth Institute at Columbia University and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University.

His professional journey began as a Structural Engineer at Rivador Corporation.
