Highlights
I rarely post on LinkedIn and for those who know me, I do virtually no advertising around my coaching and operate via word of mouth.
I'm making an exception for ⚡️ Michael Batko's 6-part series which aims to demystify the world of exec/leadership coaching for those who are curious.
I'm honored to be his first interview (thx Batko!) - our conversation gives you a peek behind the scenes of how I work with clients. Coaching isn't one-size-fits-all, and there's a lot to learn from my peers. Tune in to the full series and I assure you, it'll be a knowledge-packed read.
Lastly, I've been privileged to work with and support absolutely phenomenal founders, VCs, and execs around the world. I wouldn't be able to lean into the discipline of this work without the deep trust of these folks. So to all of you (and you know who you are :), thank you 🙏.

As a biracial woman, I've spent a lifetime trying to figure out where I fit in.
I was often perceived as not being 'Asian enough' by my Chinese peers, and growing up in Small Town USA (overwhelmingly monocultural), I was unable to find with my white friends, a shared understanding for the unique, complex and sometimes burdensome challenges of having a migrant parent. (In my case, I was raised by a single mother from Hong Kong.) Additional case in point: there isn't consensus on how to refer to folks like myself with mixed ethnic backgrounds.
What resulted for me was years of bottled resentment for both camps - but with time, self-reflection, and cultivated compassion, I have been able to let go of my feelings of shame and being misunderstood - to embrace (rather than reject) my experience as wholly unique and a source of internal power.
I couldn't be more excited to be speaking on the important topic of the migrant experience with my friends Jessy Wu, Zezan Tam, and Abhishek Maran on our upcoming panel - Everything Everywhere All at Once: An Exploration of the Migrant Experience.
In this candid, intimate conversation, we'll dive into how we've been shaped by migration - how we formed identity, found belonging, and learned to embrace Otherness.
The panel is on the 21st September at the Canva Space in Surry Hills. All are welcome!
