Hauke Diederich

Hauke Diederich is a sustainable energy and fund management specialist with expertise in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance.

He holds a MSc in Geography with minors in agricultural economics, energy systems, and political science.

Hauke has over a decade of experience in international cooperation for sustainable development, focusing on financing approaches for sustainable energy, fund design, and policy mechanisms to support renewable energy in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

He served as the director for sustainable energy at NIRAS, a leading provider of development aid services in the EU.

In 2020, Hauke transitioned to a local role, leading the design and implementation of Germany's first municipal climate innovation fund in Stuttgart, supporting innovative solutions for climate change impacts at a local level.

His experience includes project cycle management in design, preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of sustainable energy projects.

Hauke's educational background includes studying at Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Universität Hohenheim, Universität Stuttgart, and Universidad de los Andes (VE).

Throughout his career, he has held various roles at organizations like Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart, NIRAS International Consulting, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, United Nations, Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH dena, and Fundación para el Desarrollo del Servicio Eléctrico (FUNDELEC).
