Helen Durham is an accomplished professional with a strong background in international law and policy advocacy, currently serving as the Director for international law and policy at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations/Politics, a Doctor of Juridical Science, and a Bachelor of Laws with honors (LL.B.), all from the University of Melbourne.

Throughout her career, Helen Durham has held various leadership roles in renowned organizations, including being the Director of International Law and Policy at ICRC, Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne Law Faculty, Director of International Law & Strategy at the Australian Red Cross, and Head of International Law & Principles at the Australian Red Cross.

Additionally, she has served as the Director of Research & Acting Associate Director at the Asia Pacific Centre for Military Law at the University of Melbourne, Head of Office & Regional Legal Adviser for the ICRC Regional Delegation for the Pacific, and National Manager of International Humanitarian Law at the Australian Red Cross.

With a diverse professional background, Helen Durham's experience also includes roles as a Project Manager at AsiaLink and a Solicitor at Holding Redlich.
