Highlights
Today marks my transition from Executive Vice-President, Advisory Network & Industry Affairs at Canada Life. To support Canada Life’s leadership team, I will continue to provide my expertise as Special Advisor until the end of the year. For more than 175 years, Canada Life has demonstrated a steady belief in the value of advice. For 35 of those years, I was privileged to play a role in the lives of millions of Canadians, and lead with that same mindset. I have been honoured to work closely with many advisors and I want to send a special thank you to them. You play a critical role in the financial security and success of Canadians. Yours is a noble profession. To our Canada Life team – thank you for what you do every day to help us keep the promises we make to support the physical, mental, and financial well-being of our customers.
As I take my next step, I’m 100% confident in my former leadership team – Gayle Murdoch, Rob DeMott, David Stewart, Ali Ghiassi. These leaders will carry our commitments to advisor relationships and the well-being of Canadians forward.
Expertise, advice, relationships, and trust will always make the difference.
This week I had the privilege to host our distinguished military guests on behalf of Canada Life for Canadian Armed Forces Night at the Winnipeg Jets game, along with former company CEO Raymond McFeetors.
The Shaver family, honoured in the opening ceremony as a true Royal Canadian Air Force legacy of the skies, joined us at the Canada Life Centre, along with fellow comrades-in-arms and families.
We also received visits from Winnipeg mayor Scott Gillingham, and a merry group of Santas led by Robb Nash who heads up The Robb Nash Project, a charity group that uses music and storytelling to engage audiences and address difficult mental health topics.
It was a special night for all of us and to top it off, the Jets won!
