Highlights
As we mark Labor Day, I find myself in a reflective state, pondering the milestones in my professional journey. This past year has been particularly transformative. In late August, I concluded a fulfilling chapter of my career—a remarkable fifteen-year tenure as the inaugural Local Grantmaking Director at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
During this tenure, I had the privilege of collaborating with hundreds of the most influential and impactful leaders. Together, we embarked on creative endeavors aimed at tackling many of the most enduring community challenges. My time included working alongside incredibly talented social sector CEO’s (and reporting to one for 10+ years) and witnessing firsthand the inspiring innovation and resilience exhibited by communities in the face of the pandemic, through economic downturns, and in times of prosperity. From work with grassroots initiatives to being engaged in boardroom conversations with some of the most insightful, committed, and humble directors, it has been an incredible journey.
I am immensely grateful for the countless colleagues I have had the privilege of working with and learning from throughout this journey. As I step into the next career chapter, the path ahead may still be unfolding, but my vision remains clear. I am committed to advancing social sector innovation, engaging in collaborative problem-solving that uplifts people and communities, and forging partnerships with the best, brightest, and most creative minds in the field.
Stay tuned as this exciting new chapter takes shape. I look forward to continued collaboration and exploration in fresh, new avenues.
