Highlights
3 years ago in April of 2018 I created a modular shoe that you could wash in the same cycle as your clothes. An innovative concept I was super excited about that had all sorts of benefits like storage and fashion.
It didn’t hit the market due to patent issues...but I had a lot of fun creating it and even went as far as sourcing manufactures to commercialize the sneaker. One of those manufacturers is a little known knit manufacturer in the Netherlands called Knitwear Lab and assuming most of you don’t know of them I wanted to share with you their latest work.
My footwear friends launched my favorite face mask on the market. Known for producing knit uppers Knitwear Lab created a sustainable stretch knit face mask with zero waste. Think Nike Flyknit or Adidas Primeknit. It comes in 7 colors and 3 sizes so if you’re like me and those one size fits all cloth masks slip off your face you’re in luck. What’s more it actually looks nice and is fashionable so you’ll probably be more inclined to wear this one. Feel free to DM me with sizing questions as I have been wearing one here in New York all week long.
Check them out at www.knitwearlab.nl and take a look at some never before seen photos of my sneaker prototype below!
What’s keeping you strong during quarantine?
For me mentally and physically it’s my bike. I dusted this thing off and rode 🚲 over 500 miles around Seattle from March-May. I saw some amazing views and decided to capture these views from the mountains to the city with the help of Will Trogdon and Nicholas Jenner flying a drone behind me.
Let me know if you’ve also been riding and want directions to some of these places, I’d be happy to share! Hope everyone is doing well and keeping strong.
