Connecting people to make things happen

Jane Leogreen is the founder of House of Science Wellington, an organization that aims to inspire a lifelong love of science in children.1 She established the Wellington branch in 2016, driven by her own children's emerging interest in sciences and the lack of engaging, immersive science programs in the region at that time.12

As the Director of House of Science Wellington, Leogreen has overseen significant growth of the organization. Under her leadership, it expanded from offering one kit in one school to providing over 50 kits across 40 schools in Wellington's southern and eastern suburbs, reaching as far north as Pukerua Bay.1

Leogreen's professional background includes:

  • NZ Local Government Account Executive (current role)2
  • General Manager at WellElder (2021-2024)4
  • Director of Client Services at Palisade Compliance APAC (2016-2020)23
  • Director at House of Science Wellington (2015-2022)34

Her work with House of Science Wellington focuses on creating inspiring scientific education programs, building foundations for community contribution, and developing tactile, hands-on learning experiences for students.1 Leogreen is passionate about fostering scientific literacy in primary school students and empowering teachers to deliver engaging science programs.1
