Highlights
“I always valued the effort of educators but in my youth when I debated between becoming a science teacher and a children's doctor, I believed I did not have the patience required to be a teacher (so I chose to be a physician 🤩). Little did I know that teaching lies at the very core of what it means to be a physician.” I told that story to a trainee and they said “Dr. Marcelin, you are VERY patient!” 🤗
Thanks Infectious Diseases Society of America for recognizing me as the Featured Educator of the Month, and Todd McCarty for the kind nomination!
