Highlights
Excited to announce that Canapi Ventures has led Elpha Secure's $20M Series A. It is rare to find an early stage team with this much experience, but Preetam Dutta, with his cybersecurity PhD, and Gordon Malin, with ~20 years experience in the insurance sector, set an extremely high bar. This has allowed them to build a rockstar team of insurance experts and engineers - David Williams-King and Josh MacDonald to name just a few.
We expect Elpha Secure's product to vastly improve the quality of cyber policies originated in the industry by leveraging their proprietary cybersecurity software suite that they give away to their insured SMB customers. Not only should this lower loss ratios for their insurance partners, but it will also help SMBs better defend themselves against cyberthreats, something that is much needed today.
