I took the first part of this week mostly off to take our son on a few college tours over his spring break. Really cool. Bittersweet. And so much fun to see his eyes light up. Also, we could not have had better weather.
One of the schools talked to the students about their commitment to encouraging deep learning and curiosity and it was satisfying to see that value reflected in everything from their dorm room setups to their class structure to their peer tutoring program.
It made me feel grateful for the many clients I've worked with—especially my current crop of folks—and how committed they are to exploring, improving, digging in, making things better. Hooray for fruitful partnerships!
Anyway, happy Friday from my office. I hope it's a great end to your week, too.
Drove up to Tacoma today to attend the Association of Women and Minority Businesses (AWMB) Contractors’ Day.
So many great connections. And actual helpful advice — an embarrassment of riches, really. Folks going out of their way to connect an independent entrepreneur like me with the state contracting system and primary contractors: Thank you!
P.S. Our printer insists on being “offline” most of the time, or so it seems when you’re trying to print a stack of capability statements for the next day’s event. Got a last-minute reprieve this morning when my phone decided it did know where the printer was after all but in the meantime, I created this nifty QR code that will take you to a digital version of said statement for the next couple of weeks if you’d like to view and download a one-pager that vouches for my capability. It was a free code but, hey, a temporary code is better than no code, yeah?
