Jennifer Moberg Pforte is an accomplished international development professional who has worked in various roles within the development and private sectors.

With a strong background in cultural development, forced migration issues, and international education management, Jennifer has a diverse range of experiences in post-conflict and emerging societies.

She successfully established and managed Hong Kong's first Suzuki school for over a decade before transitioning into education in emergencies and refugee work in countries like Afghanistan, Thailand, and Pakistan.

Her previous roles in the Pakistan Red Cross Red Crescent Movement focused on strengthening National Society capacity and understanding migration issues in complex contexts.

Jennifer's areas of interest include migration, inter-agency collaboration, capacity building, education in emergencies, and promoting cultural ambassadorship through music initiatives.

She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music and French from Houghton College.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has held key positions at organizations like Christian Action, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), and Branches of Hope Ltd, focusing on migration consultancy, education in emergencies, and refugee opportunities.

With a background in music education, Jennifer has also served as Head of Strings and Event Coordinator at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music, as well as fulfilling roles as a violin instructor and teacher trainer at various institutions.

As the owner and managing director of KinderU Suzuki Music Academy, Jennifer has demonstrated her leadership and entrepreneurial skills in the field of music education.
