Jet M. J. Vonk is an Associate Research Scientist at the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain at Columbia University and an Assistant Professor at the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care at Utrecht University.

She holds a Ph.D. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from the City University of New York Graduate Center with a specialization in neurolinguistics and cognitive science. Currently pursuing a second Ph.D. in Epidemiology at Utrecht University.

Jet's research primarily revolves around the timing and mechanisms of semantic decline concerning healthy aging and (preclinical) dementia, emphasizing racial/ethnic, educational, and early life disparities. She employs epidemiological and neuroimaging methods to enhance the accuracy of clinical Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.
