Jiadong Gong is a founding team member of QuesTek II, providing technology leadership in designing, developing, and commercializing novel materials using materials genomic big-data and advanced computational tools. He operates within the Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) framework and integrates science-based modeling tools with AI/ML methods to establish a digitalized engineering platform on the Cloud. Gong serves as a principal investigator and technical leader in key programs with various governmental and commercial clients, focusing on aerospace, automotive, energy, and electronics applications, as well as additive manufacturing. He holds multiple patents in the U.S. and globally and manages a team of engineers in materials modeling & software development. Gong also oversees business development and expansion efforts at QuesTek International, transitioning from the U.S. to Europe, with a current focus on Asia/Japan. He pursued his Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering at Northwestern University, studied Management for Scientists and Engineers at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, and earned his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. Gong's previous roles include CTO, CIO, Technical Fellow, Manager of Modeling & Software Development, Senior Materials Design Engineer at QuesTek Innovations LLC, and Research Associate at Northwestern University and Tsinghua University.
