Jieh-Yung Lo

Director, Centre for Asian-Australian Leadership (CAAL), The Australian National University

Jieh-Yung Lo is the founding Director of the Centre for Asian-Australian Leadership (CAAL) at the Australian National University (ANU), leading efforts to promote Asian-Australian representation in leadership roles across public and private sectors in Australia.

With a background as an executive officer to Professor the Hon Gareth Evans AC QC, Chancellor of ANU, Jieh-Yung was instrumental in establishing the ANU's Melbourne engagement and outreach strategy, and spearheaded the Asian-Australian Leadership Summit (AALS) to boost diversity leadership nationally.

Prior to his current role, Jieh-Yung held policy and project positions in non-profit and advocacy organizations and served as a Councillor, including a term as Deputy Mayor, with the City of Monash.

Jieh-Yung Lo pursued his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at the University of Melbourne, cultivating a solid foundation for his subsequent career in leadership and advocacy.
