Joanna Cole

Former State Representative Chittenden Co. Dist. 6-1, Justice of the Peace

Joanna Cole is a prominent figure in Vermont, known for her role as the State Representative for Chittenden County District 6-1 at the far north end of Burlington.

With an extensive educational background, Joanna has studied Chemistry at the University of Denver, Theology at Drew University, Biology (Neuroscience) at Bryn Mawr College, Biology (Physiology) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Science at Gaston College, and Chemistry at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico-Metropolitan Campus.

In addition to her political role, Joanna has been involved in various organizations, serving as a Justice of the Peace and formerly as a Notary in the State of Vermont. She has also held positions such as Director at the League of Women Voters of Vermont, Vermont Commission on Women Advisory Board representative for the League of Women Voters of VT, and Board Member for the Registration of Voters in the City of Burlington. Joanna has been an active member of NAMI Vermont, WILPF US, and has experience as an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at both Lebanon Valley College and Millersville University.
