“A ship is safe in harbor.
BUT
That’s NOT what ships are for.”
One of my favorite quotes (by John A. Shedd).
As we dive into the final weeks of our fiscal Q2, here’s to everyone on Sales teams surfing those deal lifecycle waves, skipping over competitive turbulence, overcoming all the “not now, not like this, not with you” headwinds and, well, doing whatever it takes.
Flashback to my literal out-of-harbor days on F11 “Zemaitis” with Vytenis, Tomas, Valdemaras, Sergej, Rima and many many others 🙂
Now back to working those deals 😁

Meet my "Meeting Multitasking Jar".
Rules for using the Multitasking Jar are simple: every time you open a laptop or a phone during an in-person team meeting, you get to contribute $5 towards the next team Happy Hour.
Exceptions for note-taking can be requested, but are often declined. Additional penalties for late arrivals, loud side conversations or not sharing personal snacks may be imposed via a majority group vote 😁
There is a method to the madness. If you are in the room, there better be a reason for it, enough for you to pay 100% of your attention. If you DON'T need to pay full attention, we are wasting your time.
The fun part is that it is often so hard to resist that email ping, message pop up, or a sudden urge to just pick up that phone... It's a reflex for most of us at this point.
On a related note - Emrin, Tracy, Robin, Andrew, Cristen, Andrea, Jerry, Tennyson and Maxwell you all owe me $5. Some of you may owe me more, you know who you are 😂
