Jonathan Ellis is an accomplished CAMPAIGNER with vast experience in leading advocacy campaigns for various organizations, including the British Red Cross, Oxfam, the Refugee Council, and Action on Empty Homes.

As a seasoned TEACHER, Jonathan has shared his campaigning expertise in secondary and higher education settings and as a visiting lecturer at City University London. He has conducted training worldwide in countries like Nigeria, Nepal, and South Africa, empowering civil society groups in campaigning skills.

Jonathan is a published author with works focusing on campaigning and public speaking. He has developed online campaigning courses and a global advocacy toolkit for the International Federation of Red Cross/ Red Crescent. His courses have attracted over 4,200 students from 135 countries on platforms like Udemy and Listenable.

In addition to his teaching and campaigning roles, Jonathan works as a CATALYST providing strategic campaigning advice to various organizations such as the Open Society Foundations, Eurochild, and Trust for Social Achievement. He serves as National Chair of City of Sanctuary UK and supports advocacy initiatives across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Jonathan's academic background includes a BA Hons in History from Durham University, a PGCE in Secondary History from University of Leicester, an MBA from Loughborough University, and certificates in Academic Practice from City University London. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
