Highlights
I recently turned 1 at Certis.
And what a journey it’s been. For a start, I love getting to speak to our frontline colleagues and tell their stories. I love writing about our solutions and how they help clients. It’s been an amazing eye opener to a new industry where I get a deeper appreciation for how things work behind the scenes in security and facilities management operations.
More importantly, I think I got to learn. So much about myself, the areas for improvement, and the realisation that there is much to learn about how to do my job.
Yet, I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be honest with myself. The reality checks and honest conversation are humbling. But I reckon that growth is about first accepting vulnerability and weaknesses before building towards progress, learning and better mastery.
I have my team to thank for the support and understanding and my bosses for the trust. What a year it’s been. Now, onwards to another year (and more) of intentional practice as I strive to be a better professional focused on making the world safer and smarter.

Given her reach, I’ve always hoped and joked about one day getting a story of mine reshared by Mdm Ho Ching.
Glad that this interview post of SGT Uva, the officer who responded to the runaway horse made it. Super stoked to have been able to tell his cool story and snap the pics that were used in multiple media outlets.
Small wins. Big fun.
