Joshua Howland

Joshua Howland is the CTO and Cofounder of Seis, a banking startup focused on providing services 100% in Spanish for the 44 million native Spanish speakers living in the United States.1 He has been in this role since April 2021.2
Prior to Seis, Joshua held several notable positions:
- Director of Studios at Lambda School (December 2018 - April 2021)2
- Founder of Circle - New Hire Onboarding (May 2019 - March 2021)2
- Director roles at O.C. Tanner, including Director of Enterprise Product and Labs2
Joshua has a background in software development, particularly in iOS engineering. He worked as a Lead iOS Engineer for O.C. Tanner and Christopherson Business Travel.2 He also served as the Director of Mobile Training at DevMountain, where he was involved in curriculum development and instruction for iOS programming.2
Educationally, Joshua holds a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University (BYU). He is known for his passion for fostering team and company culture, emphasizing the importance of autonomy, purpose alignment, and personal development in creating thriving work environments.
Seis, the company Joshua co-founded, is a Y Combinator-backed startup (W22 batch) that aims to provide banking services entirely in Spanish for US Spanish speakers.1 The company's mission is to treat their customers as first-class citizens and "end dial #2 for español".1

I think it’s mostly true that it’s more important to lose fat than eat “healthy”. It’s loaded because as you lean out, your desire for healthy foods increases.
But also because the science on being overweight is so strong, and the science on “organic, whole” foods is less clear cut.
