Joshua Legg is a versatile professional excelling in various roles as a performer, choreographer, director, and writer. Currently, he is the director of the MFA program in choreography and visual art at Wilson College. With a rich educational background having completed his MFA in Dance at Shenandoah University, Joshua has honed his skills and expertise through teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, Suffolk University, and Northwestern State University of Louisiana.

Joshua Legg boasts an impressive portfolio of choreographed works, including site-specific pieces, concert and dancetheatre performances, musical theatre productions, operas, and performance art. His influence extends beyond traditional teaching roles as he has shared his knowledge as a master teacher and guest lecturer at various events and institutions, including ACDFA conferences, ADF's Paul Taylor Project, and the Dance Teacher Summit.

As a published author, Joshua Legg's book, 'Introduction to Modern Dance Techniques,' showcases his dedication to sharing his expertise in the field. His teaching interests range from modern/contemporary techniques and ballet to choreography and improvisation. Additionally, he is passionate about somatic practices, meditation, Reiki, dance history, and the intersection of public art and visual rhetoric.

In his research pursuits, Joshua Legg focuses on the development of training systems, performative rituals, choreographic practices, and decolonizing curricula. Through his involvement with organizations like the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Joshua continues to contribute significantly to the arts and academia.
