I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Behavioral Insights Fraud Data Analyst at Cash App! Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, very excited to be joining this wonderful team!
Throwback to a data science project I did years ago - this time with a twist! 🔄 Recently, I revisited an old real estate analysis project with the help of OpenAI's ChatGPT 🤖 and I was blown away by the results.
My past project predicted housing sale prices on average within $24K of the actual, while this model predicted prices within $14K of the actual. 🎯

In the past, I manually analyzed the dataset, built a model, and made predictions. The process was time-consuming and the model's accuracy left room for improvement. This time around, with ChatGPT, things were significantly different:
1️⃣ Efficient Data Analysis: With ChatGPT, I was able to quickly explore the dataset using visualizations and statistical tests, identifying key features that influence house prices. 📊
2️⃣ Rapid Model Building: In less time than before, I built and evaluated a Linear Regression model and a Random Forest model to predict house prices. 🏡
3️⃣ Automated Model Tuning: ChatGPT helped me improve the performance of the Random Forest model by tuning its hyperparameters using grid search - a process that was much faster than my manual attempts. 🎛️
4️⃣ Accurate Predictions: The tuned model made predictions on a new set of data, and these predictions were more accurate than those from my previous model. 🎯
This comparison really highlighted how AI can boost efficiency and outcomes in data science projects. ChatGPT not only accelerated the process but also improved the model's accuracy, making this project a resounding success!
Of course, in a real-world scenario, humans are still an essential part of this process. Understanding what models are valuable to a business, communicating the value to stakeholders, testing the model with new data, scaling the model, feature selection, etc.
Nonetheless, excited about the potential of AI in the field of data science and looking forward to leveraging it in more projects! 🚀
