Highlights
Much like doing a git diff on a completely new piece of code, looking back after your first job is difficult (it's just a lot of green).
Instead of listing everyone's names (hint: the list is looong), I will say I am grateful to Amazon as a whole for helping me become the engineer I am. I've not only grown technically, but also culturally. Doing things the Amazon way is something I'm proudly taking with me onto the next challenges.
Today's my first day as a #data #engineer at Plume Design, Inc. I'm looking forward to contributing to a smaller company which is in an exciting stage of development (if you wanna know more, do reach out as Plume is #hiring across the board). Brushing up on my Slovene and seeing dear friends in 🇸🇮 every so often are also important aspects of this opportunity for me personally.
While the company has main offices in Palo Alto 🇺🇸 and Ljubljana 🇸🇮, where most of my teammates will be located, I'll be based in Montenegro for the time being. With that in mind, I will continue reaching out to the Montenegrin folks who do interesting things in tech. That said, the introvert that I am, I always appreciate people doing the same.
Finally, I owe a lot to Nikola Latković who's helped me tremendously during the interview process and has continued to support me in the onboarding phase. Will do my best to pass it forward 😊
