I had the pleasure of having coffee with Keith Hollingsworth, a professor at Morehouse College and a visiting professor at Princeton University. He has dedicated over a decade to researching the struggles imposed on Black and Brown people in America, and methods in which can be used to overcome modern challenges as a result of historical occurrences.

Keith has spent a great majority of his career uplifting his students in every way possible. I admire his dedication to positively impact all people. We talked about real history and it’s effect on modern systems of thought, practice, and policy implementation.

I believe having conversation around real history and reflecting on our own biases pushes us forward in the right direction. We need to check our own systems of thought and decision-making to ensure inclusivity and true social equilibrium among all people. Happy Black History Month!

Let’s talk about something many recent graduates have been facing. I have had many conversations surrounding this topic with friends and loved ones.

EMPLOYER GHOSTING.

You apply for a job, you get a call and chat with a director or manager. They tell you they are interested and want you to undergo their hiring process.

Then BAM, never hear from them again.

I just want to be real about this and let others know you are not the only one going through this. Know that you ARE worthy enough, you just have not found your match yet.

Keep going. Never give up. #hiring #job
