Data-Informed Community Engagement Tech. Places, not people.

Julius Parishy is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Simsi, a startup focused on analyzing public health and crime outcomes by studying spatial patterns and points of interest to break down complex issues into smaller, addressable problems.

Simsi utilizes Risk Terrain Modeling (RTM) to analyze crime data and overdoses, prioritizing action over merely identifying problems, with over 70 peer-reviewed papers supporting its effectiveness in various locations from small towns to large cities worldwide.

RTM promotes collaboration, inclusivity, and responsible usage of tools for implementing solutions, matching responsibilities to relevant agencies like Parks or Planning based on the data analysis.

Julius holds a degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University and has a strong industry background that includes roles as Software Architect Team Lead at LuxPHL, Head of Mobile Technology at CodeCygnus, among others.

Apart from his professional expertise, Julius also enjoys discussing baseball and billiards at length.
