Staying health with a Spinal Cord Injury is sometimes a challenge. Antibiotic resistance (AMR) is a global issue, posing significant challenges to public health and treatment efficacy. Persons with spinal cord injury or disorder (SCI/D) are particularly susceptible to antibiotic resistance due to their heightened risk of recurrent infections.

This blog takes a look at these themes in releation to supporting the immune system to cope with chronic urinary tract infections, a topic which I am sometimes asked about, and that my own health challenges have led me to explore. I hope its helpful. The benefits of ‘blue space’ and of nature, adventure and connection are increasingly being recognised. Wise to the health advantages of time outdoors, we - a group of reflective explorers on a ‘sea kayaking retreat’ - left a huddle of wheelchairs sat on the shore beside the waters of Moray, Scotland.  A diverse set of adventurers, we were delighted to explore beneath cliffs, archways and geological beauties of the coastline, treated to rich bird life, pods of dolphins and the inspiration of a great group of people. Read the short blog at https://lnkd.in/dRrnHK_i

Nature restores us. If connected ‘time out’ in Scotland or Mallorca appeals, either as part of a retreat or one to one, drop me a line.
